Less than a month after wrapping up the 34-year run of his comic strip Life in Hell, Matt Groening proves that he’s not turning his back on the comic world. Fans of The Simpsons might be excited to hear about the new partnership between the digital comics platform comiXology and Groening’s Bongo Comics. Together they’re bringing The Simpsons comic book app to the iPad and iPhone.

The partnership was announced yesterday in San Diego at Comic-Con, and the iOS app is now available. Both the newest as well as past issues of Bongo Comics’ Simpsons Comics, Bart Simpson, Radioactive Man and more will be available to download directly to the iPad. New issues of the comics will become available within a month after their publication.

Users are allowed two downloads a week. And to celebrate launch, comiXology and Bongo have made 20 classic issues of several Bongo titles available to download now. Below, you can see the full list of the issues available:

• Bart Simpson #1, 72
• Bartman # 1, 2
