Just one night after a drunken heckler assaulted comedian Tammy Pescatelli by throwing her drink at the comedian’s head while onstage at the Comedy Zone in Jacksonville, Fla, another heckler did the same– this time at Tommy T’s comedy club in Pleasanton, CA. The target: comedian Eddie Griffin.

Unlike Pescatelli, who chose not to retaliate physically, Griffin decided to dump a bottle of water on the female audience member. Naturally, TMZ obtained a grainy video, which we’ve posted below.

No arrests were made at either club, with the latter club’s management saying they wanted it that way, according to TMZ. Pescatelli, however, who ducked out of the way of a full wine glass (which shattered behind her) has been vocal about her disapproval of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department, who, despite a room full of witnesses and the comedian’s desire to press charges, made no arrest.

Earlier today, Griffin tweeted, “It’s my Bday!!! fuck all haters!!!! hahaha!!!” Happy Birthday, Eddie. And fuck the haters, indeed.

On the other hand it could be that A) the press is seeing Daniel Tosh stories racking up massive hit numbers and so they start printing every heckler story they find or B) Comedians are starting to use social media to talk about hecklers in an attempt at press. If it is in fact B, then props comics, but remember that you have to win over the internet the same way as a crowd. Be funny.
