Comedian Jen Kirkman’s debut book I Can Barely Take Care of Myself: Tales from a Happy Life Without Kids won’t be on shelves until next year, but you can pre-order it now. And you should! In Kirkman’s words – “It helps ‘the man’ (I mean Simon and Schuster executives) know that there are people out there who want to read about the topic of Child-free by Choice. And they’ll get behind my book even more instead of yell at me.)”

In I Can Barely Take Care of Myself, Kirkman states her case for wanting to remain childless, an issue on which she has been very outspoken and has gotten a lot of grief for. Do a quick scan through her Twitter** feed and you’ll see how often she has to defend herself against people who accuse her of hating kids (she doesn’t). Pre-order the book now!

Why would Kirkman use the phrase “the man” like some sort of justice has gotten done when she herself just serviced the man by doing a Toyota commercial?
