Lewis Black will bring his stand-up show, Running on Empty, to Broadway this October, the follow-up to Black’s 2004 show Black on Broadway. Running on Empty will focus on politics and the upcoming election. It will run from Oct. 9 to 14 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
“Smack in the middle of another election year, so what better time” to return to Broadway, he said in a statement. “Why Broadway? It’s close to my apartment, just blocks away, and frankly I’m too tired to go anywhere else. These guys are exhausting me. Democrats. Republicans. The Tea Party. Just shut up. Enough is enough.”
Here’s a clip from Black on Broadway which was also broadcast on HBO.
Tickets for Running on Empty will go on sale Aug. 6.
