Comedians Godfrey and Robert Kelly have been recruited for FX’s upcoming Bronx Warrants, a half hour comedy about a crew of warrant detectives in — you guess it — The Bronx. Produced by Denis Leary and Jim Serpico and also starring Josh Segarra (Homeland) and Shirley Rumierk (White Collar), the show follows the four detectives hunting down individuals with outstanding warrants, and thinking a lot more about the cash bonuses they get for each “body” they bring in rather than actually serving justice.

Godfrey and Kelly have both appeared on FX’s Louieand Godfrey’s first hour-long stand-up special Black By Accident premiered last year on Comedy Central, and his recent television credits include 30 Rock and Adult Swim’s The Heart, She Holler miniseries, which starred Patton Oswalt. Kelly starred alongside Dane Cook, Gary Gulman and Jay Davis on HBO’s Tourgasm, and landed roles on Curb Your Enthusiasm and Ricky Gervais’ Ghost Town. Kelly is also the host of the popular podcast You Know What, Dude?

Kelly will play DeStefano and Godfrey will play TJ. Filming for Bronx Warrants begins next month with Scott Ellis (30 Rock) serving as the director.
