Iconic comedian, popular Oscar host and friend of the Silver Screen, Billy Crystal has sold a humor book to New York publishers Henry Holt and Co. for $4 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The book is about aging and the selling price could buy more facial plastic surgery procedures than needed to last the rest of Crystal’s life. The as-of-yet untitled book is set to be released around the comedian’s 65th birthday next March.
In the book, Crystal will no doubt relate his real-life aging experiences to those of the many characters he’s played in movies; perhaps most relevant, was his role as midlife-crisis-having Mitch Robbins in the 1991 comedy City Slickers. The scene from the movie below is simultaneously dark, honest and hilarious.
