Desipte his ‘little scare’ message to 4 million followers, Gabriel Iglesias is doing just fine

Despite a startling message and photo he posted this week for his 4.5 million Facebook followers, hugely popular comedian Gabriel Iglesias is absolutely fine. “Just left the hospital. Had a little scare but I’m ok,” he wrote. “Pay no attention to my man titty.” He later explained online, “I’m doing better. I just gotta keep my diabetes in check.” And today, Iglesias (aka Fluffy Guy) wrote this to his more-than 300,500 Twitter followers: “LOSING WEIGHT BECAUSE I HAVE TO NOT CUZ I WANT TO.” A rep for the comedian tells Laughspin that Iglesias is doing well and that he was simply undergoing a standard check-up when he posted the message and photo, which you can see below.

Hopefully Iglesias really does shed a few pounds. While the comic has always been somewhat proud of his shape, we’d like to know he’s taking steps to ensure he’s around for many years to come. He’s currently on an international tour — tonight’s stop is in Washington D.C. — which will take him to Singapore, England, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Norway. And the second season of his show Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution debuts Oct. 4 at 10 pm ET on Comedy Central.
