It seems Kurt Sutter, creator of critically loved Sons of Anarchy, is itching for some humor in his life. But juuust a little. He announced that he’s struck a deal with his home network FX to develop a very dark comedy curiously titled Diva. Clown. Killer.
The show would center on a female rock star from the 1980s and her degenerate son, who just so happens to makes bucks by working as a clown— and also as an assassin. “I look at SOA as being an intense drama, where the murder and mayhem are made palatable by absurd, dark humor,” Sutter says. “This half-hour will be an absurd, dark comedy, where the story is fueled by murder and mayhem.”
As if this news wasn’t super enough, get this: Sons of Anarchy star (and Sutter’s wife) Katey Segal is set to star in the developing series!
