On the heels of his new stand-up comedy special and album In God We Rust, the prolific Lewis Black is gearing up for his latest stint on Broadway, where he’ll bring his show Running On Empty to the Richard Rodgers Theatre from Oct. 9 through Oct. 20 (Tickets here). And he sat down on Tuesday with the Peabody Award-winning Elliott Forrest for an in-depth conversation at The Greene Space in New York City.
One of my favorite quotes from Lewis during this chat is his summation of Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan: “He looks crazy. His eyes look like a wolf’s eyes look like when the wolf hasn’t eaten in five days.” But there’s so much more; this thing runs nearly an hour-and-a-half, after all. But it’s well worth your time.
