On Tuesday, Oct. 16, comedians Robert Kelly and Joe DeRosa will celebrate the release of their new book Cheat: A Man’s Guide to Infidelity (out Oct. 9) with two stacked shows in New York City as part of the annual CMJ Music Marathon. The dynamic duo will host 7 pm and 9:30 pm shows featuring Colin Quinn, Rich Vos and Keith Robinson at the Comedy Cellar at the Village Underground at 130 West 3rd Street.
Presented by our friends at The Laugh Button, each show will kick off with a screening of the short film Cheat (starring Kelly, DeRosa and Bill Burr, the third book co-writer), on which the humorous advice guide is based– and will be book-ended with a live audience Q&A moderated by yours truly! The show will be followed by a book signing (you’ll be able to buy one there, if you don’t already have it).
Now, you would think that an event like this would cost upwards of $10 million. But, you’d be wrong. It’s $15. That’s it. You should head on over to thelaughbutton.com/cheat to snag your tickets soon. You don’t want to get shut out from what may go down as the comedy event of the season. And even if it doesn’t do down that way, we’re going to say it was the comedy event of the season– and everyone knows once something is printed online, it’s the truth.
