If you haven’t noticed, the straight-to-download distribution model that Louis C.K. popularized late last year has caught on. And the latest to adopt the strategy is Eric Idle, legendary British comedian and member of Monty Python. On Nov. 13, his new project What About Dick? will be available exclusively via digital download on WhatAboutDick.com for the completely reasonable price of $6.

So, what the hell is What About Dick? Good question! Idle produced four live, sold out shows at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, featuring Russell Brand, Eddie Izzard, Billy Connolly, Tim Curry, Jane Leeves, Tracey Ullman, Jim Piddock and Sophie Winkleman. He filmed all the shows and created a special filled with stand-up comedy, singing and improv. “And it’s got elements of a play,” Idle explains. “But it’s not a play that you have to take completely seriously because it’s a sort of send-up. It has bits of stand-up and improv and these hilarious actors playing multiple roles and doing impersonations. I was laughing so hard there were tears running down my cheek.”

Are you still curious about What About Dick? Well, then you should check out the pair of videos below. The first is a short trailer and the second is a sweet featurette with the show’s cast talking and shit. Go!
