We’ve been following Steve Mazan’s story since 2009, when he finally made his dream to perform on Late Show with David Letterman a reality. The 13-year comedian was diagnosed with cancer in 2005, and so he made this dream his number one priority in life. “The doctors told us [Mazan and his wife, Denise], ‘Look, the tumors are slow-growing.’ Mazan told us three years ago. ‘If everything goes OK, you could still live 10 to 15 years with this.’ Worst-case scenario, ‘Five years.’ And I thought, Holy shit, five years! What if I die in five years, what do I want to accomplish?”
Yielded from his efforts and from his inspiring story was the film Dying To Do Letterman. The film has been screened to rave reviews at multiple festivals throughout the country, and now the filmmakers Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina just released the below trailer, which we highly suggest you check out and pass along.
