The presidential election is over, but the news — and more importantly, the videos being circulated — surrounding the night Barack Obama won a second term, are far from over. You’re probably aware that shortly after the famously conservative Fox News called the election for Obama (before CNN, even), Karl Rove, current political consultant and former Deputy Chief of Staff under George W. Bush, spent about three solid minutes questioning the call. Truth be told, he kept an even head and attempted to use raw data to prove his point– that it was far too early to call the election because so many votes from battleground, swing state Ohio counties had not yet been counted.

But it got super awkward when Fox News talking head Megyn Kelly engaged in what looked like an Aaron Sorkin-produced walk to the “decision desk” to get the real answer from the presumably non-partisan analysts at the network. Below, you can watch Rove, then Kelly’s walkthrough and then finally, David Letterman’s take on the situation from last night during his Late Show interview with NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams. Enjoy!
