I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that Josh Gad, the ultra-talented writer, producer and actor (Broadway’s Book of Mormon, NBC’s upcoming 1600 Penn) has landed himself a new high-profile writing gig. The bad news is that said high-profile gig is writing the sequel to 1988′s Twins, which will feature Eddie Murphy playing Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s long lost third sibling. Exactly.

According to Deadline, Gad and Ryan Dixon will write the script treatment. Ivan Reitman, who directed the original flick, will return to that position. Reitman will have plenty of time to work on the Twins reboot, seeing as the ill-fated Ghostbusters feature has been delayed again.
