Laughspin Presents: 2012 Readers’ Choice Comedy Awards

Seeing as the final days of 2012 are fast approaching, we wanted to take this time (and space) to think back on all our favorite comedy memories of the last year. To that end, we present to you the 2012 Laughspin Readers’ Poll.

Below, you’ll find many categories on which you can vote. Use the sliders to a scroll down and to the right if need be. You’ll notice that for most categories there are many, many nominees. However, if you feel strongly about someone or some thing that hasn’t been nominated you can write in a vote. A word of warning, however: spelling counts! If you spell something wrong, there’s a chance the polling software will not calculate your vote. One other note before you have some fun with this. Feel free to leave a comment in the comments section, but don’t be a jerk. If you disagree with something, say so– like a human; not some angry little troll.

We’re going to keep the poll live until Dec. 18 and announce the results on Dec. 19. Now start voting!

Note: We’re aware that some readers cannot see the poll categories. We’re trying to figure out why. For now, it seems if you may have to disable “ad block” if you’re running that on your browser.

Create your free online surveys with SurveyMonkey, the world’s leading questionnaire tool.

If you don’t see the poll on this page, click here to vote. Note: If you’ve already voted, you won’t be able to vote a second time from the same IP address.

I thought this was where the full list or results should be posted? Or is it not up yet?

  • Jay

Missing: My Brother, My Brother and me. Kiss your dad right on the lips

  • John Staley

    Colin Quinn’s Twitter blows!

  • tobihuls

How do you not include Colin Quinn on the Twitter list?! Laughspin is awesome, but you’ve GOT to start giving some love to Colin.

  • Yahweh Allah

It’s “The Pod F. Tompkast” not “The Pod F. Tomkast” (you said spelling matters) and there is no radio button next to “Other” for Best Late Night Show, making it impossible to vote for something else or recuse yourself from the category. Otherwise… it’s like Sophie’s Choice up there. Wish we could have picked multiples…

  • The Legend

Not including Colin Quinn on the list for best Twitter is madness, though I’m sure he doesn’t give a care about awards.

I have adblock and it worked, so hopefully it’s fixed. Also Doug Stanhope for comedian and Colin Quinn for twitter.

  • siem

it´s the adblock…without it, it works!

  • siem

    no polls for me either…?

  • Infuriated

I’ve looked at this on my iPad and on my MacBook, both with updated software, and I can’t find any categories, sliders, or anything to do with voting. There is nothing except for the article talking about voting and this comment section. Since there are other comments about voting I suppose some others can see what I can’t. What is the problem?

    • Dylan

sorry, “infuriated.” we’re looking into it. it seems the vast majority of readers can see it. we’ve contacted the polling software folks and are waiting to hear back from them. check to see if you have ad blockers enabled. if you do, you might want to disable them. Still, it’s ridiculous that would prevent you from seeing the poll. we’re working on a real fix. thanks for the note and thanks for being patient. -dylan

Unless I missed his name (but I don’t think I did), it’s criminal leaving Kyle Kinane off the comedians list. Whiskey Icarus was the best hour I’ve heard in a few years.

  • Matt

The name of the show is ‘American Dad,’ not ‘All American Dad’ I believe.

    • Chase Roper

      Like it matters anyways.
