Not only is Counting Crows still making music, but its famous frontman Adam Duritz is doing some acting these days– albeit playing a slightly fictionalized version of himself. He stars alongside the likes of Olivia Munn, Nat Faxon and many others in Freeloaders, a crass comedy produced (read: not written or starring) by the Broken Lizard nutjobs. You can stream the flick now through your favorite Video on Demand service, and it’ll hit theaters next month.
The flick centers around “a group of slackers living for free in a rock star’s mansion suddenly find their lives on easy street threatened when the musician decides to sell his pad,” according to the official summary. “To stop the sale the gang comes up with a series of ludicrous and hilarious schemes to insure the house never sells.” To give you a wee taste of what you could expect, check out this exclusive clip!
