Who could forget Charlie Sheen’s 2011 live comedy tour that he lovingly titled My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option? Turns out, Sheen would love to forget it.

The live shows, universally panned, made the sitcom star a reported $7 million in one month, but, according to Sheen, that wasn’t money to be blown on his Goddessess (remember them?) or throwing epic parties.

After he was canned from his gig on CBS hit Two And A Half Men, Sheen needed quick cash. “I was not ‘winning’ at all,” he told Piers Morgan Friday night on CNN. “I think what a lot of people don’t realize is I was completely broke, because when they kept my back-end and fired me, I didn’t have any money left.”

We’re no financial advisors, but it seems like Sheen – having made $2 million an episode for CBS – should’ve had a huge chunk of change to live off for at least a year or so. That’s not the case, says Sheen. “I was using the tour to actually pay child support and mortgages and stuff like that. You know? So I’m grateful for that.”

After opening night in Detroit, Sheen knew he made a mistake. And by the seventh show, the pure novelty had worn off for him and for most ticket holders. “I didn’t have an act. There was no act. I think people were expecting to show up and literally watch me die on stage or spontaneously combust or just like suddenly become cash and women. I don’t know what they were expecting.”

Sheen also told Morgan that he’s found love again, as he’s been dating former porn star Georgia Jones. “I don’t want to say a female version of me,” he says. “But we have very similar traits and qualities. She’s a lot younger, and she’s hotter than the word itself. And she’s fun as hell. She’s fun as hell.”
