With a failed television pilot and an equally unsuccessful bid for the presidency of the United States behind her, comedy icon Roseanne Barr is ready to take another stab at television stardom.

Teaming up with Steven Greener, who helped helm Roseanne’s Nuts, Barr’s 2011 reality series for Lifetime, the comedian is developing a series for NBC, the same network who last year passed on Downwardly Mobile, a show that would’ve starred John Goodman and would’ve featured Barr as the manager of a mobile home park.

To help get her feet wet at the network, Barr will also be seen on three upcoming episodes of The Office. “She will play talent agent Carla Fern who agrees to help office manager Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) realize his show business dream,” reports Deadline.
