The late, great comedian Mitch Hedberg once joked about the concept of pest infestations. But as was usually the case with him, he turned the concept on its ear. “My apartment is infested with koala bears,” he began. “It’s the cutest infestation ever. Way better than cockroaches. When I turn on the light, a bunch of koala bears scatter. And I don’t want ’em to. I’m like, ‘Hey, hold on fellas. Let me hold one of you.’”
But how about an adorable monkey infestation? That sounds almost as fun as a koala infestation. And what if the monkeys had adorable British accents? Even better, right? Right. But, here’s the twist. What if the gaggle of said monkeys were thieves– and their main goal in life was to steal your lovely groceries from you’re brand new fridge. It’s a reality the folks at Samsung have thought about, hence the below viral video, wherein we see a band of well-organized monkeys on a mission.
The lovely gal in the video takes the news of her missing food well, don’t you think? We’d be a bit more taken aback– like that scene in Ghostbusters when Sigourney Weaver’s character finds a fire-spitting ghost in her refrigerator. Also, she must live in a mighty safe neighborhood if a single monkey can gain access to her well-appointed home. She should get some reinforced locks. We bet the other woman in the video (the one with the junky fridge) has house doors that lock. Regardless, we get the sense that Hedberg would be ok with a bunch of monkeys eating his food. He’d probably invite them in to do so.
