Pete Holmes, a comedian who, over the last few years, has become a favorite of comics and comedy nerds alike, has just landed his own television show. Produced by Conan O’Brien’s production company Conaco, Holmes will host a not-yet-titled talk show (when the pilot filmed in August of last year, it was called The Midnight Show With Pete Holmes) Monday through Friday at midnight, directly following Conan.

Set to launch this Fall, the show will be taped in front of a live audience and to start, will run four weeks. Holmes will welcome in-studio guests and will also host live comedy, short films, sketches and field pieces during its 30-minute runtime. “The first half of my meeting with Conan was spent making sure this wasn’t all part of a new TBS prank show called You Got Coned!, Holmes says. “The second half was spent expressing my sincerest enthusiasm and gratitude for this incredible dream come true.”

Holmes has performed stand-up on Conan twice and has hosted Team Coco’s Web series After-Hours Stand Up, where he interviewed stand-up comedians backstage. Below, you can check out Holmes’ appearance on the show from November of 2011.
