In this brilliantly produced video, radio host, writer and champion of great comedy Tom Scharpling expands his ever-growing resume of music projects by incorporating comedians like Marc Maron, Weird Al Yankovic and DC Pierson into the imagined 2002 audition process for celebrated electronic duo The Postal Service. Music geeks will also delight in watching Helmet’s Paige Hamilton, Moby and Guns ‘n Roses bassist Duff McKagan (among others) audition for a spot in the band. Comedian Jon Daly is perfect as the know-nothing Sub Pop executive and real-life Postal Service member Jimmy Tamborello is perfect as himself (we guess? we never met him). The other half of The Postal Service, Ben Gibbard makes an appearance as well. Check it out!
