UPDATE– 5:10 pm ET: Paula Deen has been fired from the Food Network. Her contract is up in June and it will not be renewed, the network confirmed.

—————-

Last night on Totally Biased, W. Kamau Bell took on Paula Deen after a deposition surfaced in which it was alleged the Food Network chef admitted to using the n-word. Former employees, who have accused Deen and some of her restaurant staff of sexual and racial harassment, also alleged that Deen had planned a Southern plantation themed wedding for her brother– complete with African American waiters dressed as antebellum slaves.

While Bell isn’t surprised to hear that a 66-year-old woman from Georgia might be a racist, the comedian was surprised at how Twitter users so skillfully made good with the hashtag #PaulasBestDishes. Check out the clip below.

The Totally Biased segment followed The Daily Show’s brilliant treatment of Deen the previous night—with both temporary host John Oliver and correspondent Jessica Williams having their way.

And just moments ago, Deen issued a video apology, which you should check out. UPDATE: Deen deleted the original apology video and has now uploaded a new one, which you can see below. The original is second.

Also, there’s another one.
