Halle Berry returns to comedy after 16 years

It’s been 16 years since Halle Berry has had a proper role in a comedy flick (B*A*P*S, anyone?), but she’s embraced the funny once again—this time in an indie comedy called Mother. While Mother may be a small project for an Oscar-winning actress, it might be the perfect way to ease her back into the world of comedy. Directed by Emilio Ferrari and co-produced by Berry, the film follows Berry’s character as a woman who leaves her life with a mobster by pretending to be the mother of a boy she meets on the run. Production is expected to begin early next year.
