On Friday night Jay Leno brought Eliot Spitzer face to face with his Saturday Night Live doppelganger Bill Hader. You’re likely familiar with Hader’s take on used to impersonate Spitzer when he co-hosted CNN’s “Parker/Spitzer.” After watching a clip of the impersonation, the two recalled the first time they met.
“You were shaking and quivering when I approached you,” said Spitzer.
“I’m shaking and quivering now!” Hader replied.
If this part of the interview wasn’t awkward enough for you, the rest of the interview gets really awkward when Leno asks Spitzer about his history with prostitution and then Spitzer questions aloud why he agreed to appear on the show in the first place. History lesson: Spitzer who’s running for New York City comptroller resigned as governer five years ago when he was busted hooking up with hookers.
