Jimmy Pardo will co-host with Conan O’Brien for two nights

Conan O’Brien’s trusted warm-up comedian Jimmy Pardo, will be stepping into the late night television spotlight tonight and tomorrow at 11 pm ET on TBS. Andy Richter, Conan’s longtime sidekick will be away filming the pilot episode for a new game show called Step Up that he’s signed on to host, so Pardo will take over his duties in the meantime. Pardo has been working with O’Brien since 2009 behind the scenes, as an occasional guest and as the host of the Web-only Pardo Patrol (see below). But true comedy nerds have been following his stand-up and podcasting careers — he launched Never Not Funny in 2006 — long before he officially joined Team Coco. Richter made sure to alert his fans that he isn’t going to be gone for long in a tweet, writing, “BTW, I ain’t going nowhere. I want as many jobs as my greedy ass can handle.”

    My pleasure.

I enjoyed Pardo. If for nothing else than adding a little spark to a seemingly joyless Conan. If I’m honest, Conan hasn’t been the same since reuniting with Richter back in 09′
