As many comedy fans’ dreams of ABC’s canceled series Happy Endings finding a home at TBS were dashed in the last few weeks, the latter network as dipped into Fox’s offerings and came up with American Dad. After Seth MacFarlane’s animated series ends its tenth season on Fox this year, it’ll shuffle on over to TBS for a 15-episode season 11. Sister network Adult Swim will broadcast recently aired episodes as well.

American Dad is a great fit for TBS, a favorite of comedy fans who like smart, irreverent humor with ample doses of biting wit and skewering satire,” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movie, in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming Seth MacFarlane and the rest of his team as they bring this iconic show to TBS.”

Happy for another season but only 15 episodes. TBS don’t ruin this great opportunity and this great show.

What? WHAT? Why the fuck is American Dad being put on cable?
What the hell is this? I don’t believe it! Are the ratings really that bad?
What about the ratings for Family Guy or The Cleveland Show? Why the hell don’t they banish those stupid, pretentious shows to cable and leave American Dad the hell alone?

I agree with Maximilian here. American Dad deserves better treatment, respect and of course, ratings on FOX. Cleveland Show has been cancelled after four seasons and Family Guy just needs to fuck right off soon. AD is better than both of them.

As much as I love Family Guy, I hate this. I hate Stan and his annoying wife and their 2 whiny kids. Only the fish and the alien are worth tuning in for. It’s the same thing over and over again.
