Will Ferrell and his production team are working on a dark comedy called Welcome to Me, and they’ve just cast former Saturday Night Live player Kristen Wiig as its lead. Wiig, who’s currently starring in another dramedy, Girl Most Likely (out July 19), will play Alice, a woman with dissociative personality disorder who blows her lottery winnings on a cable show about herself. Tim Robbins, Linda Cardellini and Jennifer Jason Leigh are also set to star in the flick. This is the third recent project on which Wiig and Ferrell have collaborated. Early next year, she’ll appear in The Spoils of Babylon, a mock-miniseries for IFC (Robbins also stars) and in December, fans will see her in Anchorman: The Legend Continues.
