Bob Odenkirk and David Cross are reuniting for their first tour since 2002. The duo will hit six big cities in September including New York, Boston, San Francisco and a stop at the much-anticipated Tenacious D festival in October. To sweeten the deal a little more, the duo will also link up with their Mr. Show colleague, Brian Posehn, as they hit the road to promote their new book Hollywood Said No! (out Sept. 10), a collection of rejected sketches and screenplays they wrote together.
The tour will consist of a mix of stand-up and sketch comedy from all three comedians. They will also be signing books at the shows and bookstores in the cities in which they perform. While it’s only a few stops and we wish it were more, it’s great to see these guys back together again. Check out the dates below:
Fri., 9/12 Town Hall – New York City
Fri. 9/13 – Shubert Theatre – Boston
Fri. 9/20 – Vic Theatre – Chicago
Fr. 9/27 – Palace Of Fine Arts – San Francisco
Sat. 9/28 – Newmark Theatre – Portland
Sat. 10/19 – Festival Supreme At Santa Monica Pier (Tenacios D’s festival) – Santa Monica
In addition to the tour you can see Odenkirk and Cross on an upcoming episode of Comedy Bang Bang in which they filmed a sketch together. The episode is set to air sometime in August. Also keep an eye out for another tour announcement as Mr. Show’s 20th anniversary is coming up. Perhaps there will be an even bigger tour with more Mr. Show names? We can only hope.
