Dan Harmon had nothing but positive things to say about his co-workers on his upcoming Adult Swim animated series, Rick and Morty. This is a change of pace considering Harmon is known for controversy as the fired-and-rehired Community creator and showrunner. Praising the “genius” of Adult Swim executive vice president Mike Lazzo by saying, “He has the autonomy, humility and mental power to take a script and recognize what it is and give you his thoughts,” it’s clear that Harmon has optimistic mindset and is excited about moving forward and finishing up the final details of the show as the premiere date approaches. The animated series, which features voices from Sarah Chalke, Harmon, Chris Parnell (Morty’s dad), Spencer Grammer, Brandon Johnson, Ryan Ridley, Justin Roiland (the co-creator who voices both title characters) and Kari Wahlgren, will premiere on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block in December.
