The television gods are working in our favor. CBS is resurrecting Jim Gaffigan’s series, which they passed over this past pilot season. Now, according to reports, the network is redeveloping the show for the 2014-2015 season. The semi-autobiographical single camera comedy will focus on Gaffigan raising his five kids with his wife in New York. It is unclear if any of the original cast, besides Gaffigan, will return for the new version of the pilot rewritten by Gaffigan and Peter Tolan. Mira Sorvino and Janeane Garofalo, among others starred in the pilot. Gaffigan continues his live theater tour on Aug. 23 in New Hampshire and, in June, landed a seven-figure deal to write his second book. His first, Dad is Fat, became a New York Times Bestseller.
