tim h 400Few do musical comedy – or, dare I say, music (consider this me daring and also saying it) – better than Tim Heidecker.

So, it’s what great pleasure I tell you, dear Laughspinners, that he of Tim and Eric-fame is unleashing a second such album on Nov. 12 with longtime collaborator Davin Wood.

Titled Some Things Never Stay the Same, the 11-track collection pays homage to/spoofs multiple musical genres and features guest appearances by the likes of Aimee Mann, Eric Johnson (The Shins) and more!

The follow-up to 2011’s Starting From Nowhere, this sophomore effort will again be released by Little Record Company, who happily call Some Things self-indulgent. “It’s by turns pompous, funny, overproduced, underbaked, overly serious and not serious enough. All in a good way, of course!” And I can’t wait. Check out the full tracklist below as well as Heidecker and Wood performing “Cocaine” live in Los Angeles in 2011.

1. Cocaine
2. What Else Is New
3. Getaway Man
4. This Is Life
5. Tell Her I Love Her
6. Coming Home
7. Sunday Man
8. Hurricane
9. On Our Own
10. Salvation Street
11. Next Ten Years
