Josh Gad (Broadway’s Book of Mormon, Love and Other Drugs) has just joined the cast of The Comedians, Billy Crystal’s comedy series in development at FX. He will play the up-and-comer who’s irked by his pairing with the aging superstar comedian (Crystal) on a late night sketch show. Hopefully, this show will have the talent and stamina to keep him on television unlike his last shows, 1600 Penn or Back to You, both of which just lasted one season. “Could not be more excited to star opposite a comedy legend and personal hero Billy Crystal,” Gad tweeted. Starting Aug. 16, you can see Gad as Steve Wozniak in Jobs. The actor also recently snagged the leading role in the upcoming Sam Kinison biopic.
