Welcome to yet another episode of The Laughspin Podcast. This Friday on Epix — Aug. 23 at 10 pm ET to be exact — Jim Norton unleashes yet another hour of soul-sacrificing comedy. Recorded in Boston, the far-ranging American Degenerate finds the veteran comedian at his very best, deftly bouncing between the observational — John Travolta’s sex scandal, gun laws, the Pope, Casey Anthony — to personal stories about dealing with sleep apnea, an old naked dude at the gym, a grabby gal at an Ozzy concert and so much more. So it was with the new special in mind that I caught up with Norton two days ago at the SiriusXM studios in New York after he got off the air with Opie and Anthony. We chatted about the new special — and the just-released album version of his previous special Please Be Offended — but also delved a bit into Norton’s sex addiction, his hatred for the mainstream media, rape jokes, his working relationship with Jay Leno and tons more. So, hit play below– or click one of the links after the player if you’d like to listen to this episode elsewhere. Enjoy!
