As Jay Leno slowly prepares for his exit from The Tonight Show, some of his staffers are preparing a bit faster. Producers Bob Read and LiAnne Read have left Leno’s staff to join Chelsea Lately after 12 years at the NBC talk show, Deadline.com reported. Tonight staffers will be paid until Leno’s contract expires next September, even though his final night behind the desk will air on February 6.

Jimmy Fallon will take over the hosting duties at The Tonight Show after the 2014 Winter Olympics on Monday, Februrary 24. Saturday Night Live player Seth Meyers will debut Late Night with Seth Meyers the same night at 12:30am.
