Gilda’s LaughFest, named after the late comedienne Gilda Radner, is one of the largest comedy festivals in the country, known for its all-star schedule of the nation’s top headliners. A few of the seemingly countless names featured in the the last three years are Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, Amy Schumer, Brian Regan, Bill Burr, Kevin Hart and many more. The festival will also host over 100 free community showcases at various locations in downtown Grand Rapids, Lowell and Holland, Michigan during the days of LaughFest, March 6-16, 2014. Organizers are now seeking up-and-coming comedians, improvisers, filmmakers and entertainers for these showcases. Applications are currently being accepted from now until Dec. 1. There is no “submission fee” usually common with festival submissions. Some of the showcases will include:

Stand-up Comedy Showcase
Dance Showcase

Short Film Showcase

Visit to apply for Gilda’s LaughFest 2014! Note: All showcases will be non-ticketed, free of charge events, so performers on community showcases will not be compensated for performances, lodging or travel.
