CBS is bringing one of its oldest sitcoms back to the airwaves this winter. The eyeball ntwork will air two classic episodes of I Love Lucky on Friday, Dec.20. It will broadcast “The Christmas Episode” followed by the infamous grape stomping episode “Lucy’s Italian Movie.” One of the most beloved shows of all time, I Love Lucy originally aired from 1951 to 1957, followed by a handful of one-hour specials known as the Lucille-Desi Comedy Hour.
“The Christmas Episode” has been known for decades as one of the lost episodes of the popular comedy series because it only aired once during the show’s original run and was never rebroadcast in syndication until it was found in 1989. Both episodes have been colorized for their rebroadcasting (except for flashback scenes in the holiday episode, which will remain in the original black and white).
Be sure to tune into the legendary Lucille Ball’s classic I Love Lucy on CBS on Friday, Dec. 20 at 8pm EST! Until then, enjoy this famous scene of Lucy and best friend Ethel’s mishaps working in a chocolate factory!
