Kevin Hart is one of the hottest stand-up comedians out there right now. He has done arena tours and produced his own stand-up concert films which have grossed tens of millions of dollars. The Philadelphia-grown star has not forgotten where he came from. Hart posted a video on instagram on Wednesday announcing that he is donating $250,000 to the school districts there to help them buy new computers.

After crippilng budget cuts, the School District of Philadelphia has nearly 3,000 fewer staff members than last year and the limited funds have effected various aspects of their public schools.

After the announcement, Hart tweeted:

He will also visit some of the schools that he plans to donate computers to. Never one to forget where he came from, Kevin Hart always takes care of the city that bred him.

Here’s the announcement video that was accompanied by the hashtag #iWishOurFootballTeamWasDoingBetter. Unfortunately, no amount of charity from a celebrity can fix the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback problems.
