Jim Gaffigan’s recently reworked pilot now has recast its female lead. Ashley Williams will co-star as Gaffigan’s wife Jeannie, a super-wife and super-mom, possessing an ample amount of energy, patience and good humor. CBS ordered the single-camera comedy pilot last season, but ended up passing on it. Mira Sorvino played Jeannie in the previous pilot. Williams has appeared in multiple episodes of Royal Pains, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and How I Met Your Mother.

UPDATE: Michael Ian Black announced on Twitter that, he, too will be joining the cast of the CBS pilot. His Twitter message is below.
