Danny McBride’s animated comedy series on FX, Chozen made its debut on Xbox One, a week before its television premiere. FX Now, the network’s on-demand app, will allows users to stream the first episode of Chozen on the Xbox One before the show’s Jan. 13 premiere on FXX. The move, in theory, would allow FX to promote its own streaming app to consumers and allows Microsoft, the company behind the entertainment console giant, to push its customers to use the system for more than just gaming.

Chozen is executive produced by McBride and follows “a gay white rapper fresh out of prison…[whose] music and lyrics take aim at the stereotypes of machismo and misogyny.” Check out an interview with Saturday Night Live actor Bobby Moynihan who lends his voice to the series.
