The third season of Girls hasn’t even premiered yet (it starts back up again on Sunday Jan. 12) and HBO has already announced that Lena Dunham’s millenial comedy will return for a fourth season in 2015. The premium cable channel made the announcement Thursday night during HBO’s Television Critics Association panel. The show has faced criticism that the characters are unlikeable, unrelatable, or even whiney. Lena Dunham, the show’s creator, star, and sometimes-director, said on the panel, “People ask, ‘How can you sympathize with [the Girls characters],’ and I’m like, ‘You seem to like Walter White!’” reported Variety’s AJ Marechal. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, these chicks are going to be around for at least a couple more years.
