Portlandia creator and star Fred Armisen has a new gig: band leader on the new Late Night with Seth Meyers. Yes, you read right. Fellow Saturday Night Live alum Armisen will “curate and lead the band, and continue to run it even when he’s off shooting Portlandia,” Meyers tweeted.

Armisen actually has quite the musical history. He played in a punk band back in the 80s before working as a backing musician for the infamous Blue Man Group. After getting on SNL, he continued to make guest performances with various artists. He even created Ian Rubbish, a spoof on Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten, through whom he could showcase both his comedic and his musical talents.

Late Night with Seth Meyers premieres Monday, Feb. 24 at 12:35 am after The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
