Denis Leary’s new pilot for FX Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll has added comedian Robert Kelly to its cast. Kelly, a nationally touring stand-up comic, will play Bam Bam, a washed-up drummer of fictional band The Heathens. He hangs around lead character Johnny (played by creator and executive producer Leary), an almost-rock star trying to get his failed ’90s band back together. Times have been hard on Bam Bam and he’s not as optimistic about a career resurgence as Johnny is. Kelly has previously acted on NYC 22, Inside Amy Schumer, and several guest roles on the Law & Order franchise. He hosts a successful podcast You Know What Dude?
