The long-awaited uncensored Dave Attell stand-up series finally has a premiere date. Comedy Underground with Dave Attell hits television sets on Saturday night, April 12 at 1 am EST on Comedy Central. The show marks Attell’s return to the network since his Insomniac series went off the air in 2004. Filmed in New York City’s Village Underground, Judah Friedlander, Ralphie May, Nikki Glaser, Ari Shaffir and many more will do their rawest, most unfiltered sets. Also, “special guests” scheduled to appear on the show include Jim Norton, Amy Schumer, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Jeffrey Ross, Ron Jeremy and Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham. What is sure to become the Premium Blend of uncensored late-night stand-up, Comedy Underground may be the breakout show for some comedians struggling to gain mainstream attention with their less-than-politically-correct routines.
Airing right before Comedy Underground’s premiere is the host’s own stand-up special. Dave Attell: Road Work will air on Saturday night, April 12 at midnight. His latest one-hour special will feel like a concert film with footage from multiple cities while on his latest tour. This “filthy, dirty mess of a show” will serve as a proper lead in to his new stand-up series.
