LeBron James is creeping slowly and slowly into other spheres of the entertainment world outside of the NBA. We reported last year that the Miami Heat MVP plans on shooting Ballers with comedian Kevin Hart this summer for his first starring role. Now he’s executive producing a comedy series for Starz, a premium movie channel that has attempted to follow in the footsteps of HBO and Showtime by creating original shows.

Survivor’s Remorse takes place in the world of professional basketball when Cam Calloway, played by Jessie T. Usher, signs a multi-million dollar NBA contract. The show will examine the comedy and drama as it follows Cam and his cousin Reggie (Ronreaco Lee). Veteran actor and stand-up comic Mike Epps (Friday franchise, The Hangover) joins the cast as a regular player. “Who are these other people?” you may ask. You may have seen Usher on Cartoon Network’s live-action Level Up and Vaughn in Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail. Comedic actress Erica Ash will play Cam’s sister M-Chuck and she’s been seen on the BET faux reality show The Real Husbands of Hollywood, which also stars Hart. Starz has ordered six episodes for the first season and is slated to debut this fall.
