Comedy Central has launched a new video streaming app that will make watching their award-winning content easy on any of your mobile devices– so long as that device is made by Apple. The app, available only on Apple’s famed App Store, allows users to watch and share recent episodes of hit Comedy Central shows, including next-day availability of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, and @midnight. App users will also be able to preview new series Trip Tank and Comedy Underground with Dave Attell, as well as “short-form content” that the network appears to be in the process of developing. The big pay-off of the app is if a user signs in via their cable or satellite television provider, he or she will have access to nearly 200 episodes of stand-up specials and top shows like Kroll Show, Tosh.0, Workaholics, and old episodes of Chappelle’s Show. The downside is that if you don’t own an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you and your Galaxy Nexus are out of luck. “Children of Jobs” now have one more reason to turn their noses up at their Android-wielding colleagues.
