Aziz Ansari is a food critic!Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim (half of the beloved Tim & Eric duo), and Jason Woliner (Parks & Recreation and Human Giant director) are traversing Los Angeles’ diverse culinary scene to see who is worthy of their high praise in their new show Food Club. The three comedians have launched a new show where sample dishes across the City of Angels. In their premiere episode, the group takes along LA Times food critic Jonathan Gold to help them out. Food Club is part of the JASH YouTube Network, a comedy channel populated by Sarah Silverman, Michael Cera, Reggie Watts, and Tim & Eric.

The collective effort gives comedians and artists a platform to create and control their own digital content and share in the revenues, not that these stars need the extra YouTube check. Ansari reportedly received a $3.5 million advance to write a relationship book. Fellow JASH creators Silverman and Cera have made deals with Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios to create shows for the Xbox One. Maybe Microsoft will want to bring the rest of the JASH team onto their all-in-one entertainment console. Check out the first episode of Food Club only on JASH.
