While we’re moderately excited about Elton John, Jack White, Kanye, West and the 12,000 other music acts scheduled to hit the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, we here at Laughspin are supremely excited for the stellar comedy offerings, which were just announced. In its 11th year, Bonnaroo has snagged the likes of Craig Robinson, Hannibal Buress, Saturday Night Live stars Taran Killam and Sasheer Zamata and more, to perform in the comfy settings of the famous air-conditioned Comedy Theatre from June 12 – 15.
“I’m excited to be performing at the 35th annual Bonnaroo food and wine festival,” Hannibal Buress joked. “It’s an honor to have Kanye West sing lowly under my comedy jokes.” The 11th edition of the festival, held annually at a 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN, is the only major U.S. arts festival that operates 24 hours a day. In addition to comedy and music, the fest offers things like a “silent disco,” an arcade, Internet cafes, yoga classes, food and craft vendors and sustainable gardening lessons. So take that, Coachella!
“I’m excited for the great mix of styles this year,” says Bonnaroo’s longtime comedy producer, Rocky Benloulou-Dubin. “I’m really looking forward to another year under the comedy big top with these hysterical heavyweights, ascending stars and the BEST audiences.” Comedian Neal Brennan adds, “I guess you could say the festival combines three of my greatest passions: music, comedy and porta-potties.” Check out the full comedy lineup below!
