meg ryan when harry met sallyFresh off the heels of the questionable How I Met Your Mother series finale, the hit CBS comedy’s potential spin-off series has major casting news. Meg Ryan will voice the narrator in the How I Met Your Dad pilot. Just as Bob Saget was the voice of future Ted (Josh Radnor), Ryan will voice future Sally (played by Golden Globe-nominated actress Greta Gerwig). Similar to the original series, How I Met Your Dad would tell the story from the female point of view with an all-new story with different characters. It’s still only a pilot, but there is a lot of excitement around the hit potential in a spin-off to one of the most popular comedy series of the last decade. Meg Ryan has proven comedy chops over the years with romantic-comedy hits like You’ve Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. Plus, who can forget that famous lunch scene from When Harry Met Sally…? If Ryan’s narrator skills are as good as her fake orgasms, CBS may be quick to give HIMYD the greenlight!
