Rob Corddry and his Emmy Award-winning Adult Swim comedy Childrens Hospital will return to television for a sixth season. “We’re placing the Childrens gang safely back in their hospital next season, having spent last season in Japan,” said star Corddry. Fans can expect the usual “absurdity, flights of fancy, hard-hitting fake drama, soft-hitting fake drama, farcical door slamming, partial nudity, classical jazz…the whole shebang.” Childrens Hospital airs on Adult Swim and started as a satirical web series on TheWB.com in 2008. After less than a year, Adult Swim picked up the show and began airing episodes of the medical drama lampoon in 2010. It has won two Primetime Emmys for Outstanding Special Class — Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Program. The new season will shoot this summer in Los Angeles. Dr. Blake Downs (Corddry) and the rest of the ensemble cast will return in 2015.
