For the last few years, writer, actress and comedian Jenny Slate has been killing it. We’re always eager to see her as the recurring Liz B. character on Kroll Show, love seeing her as Sarah Guggenheim on House of Lies and of course there’s her portrayal of Mona Lisa Saperstein, Jean-Ralphio’s sister on Parks and Recreation. But Slate’s profile is about to blow up, as she stars in Obvious Child, debuting in select theaters nationwide starting June 6.
In Obvious Child, Slate plays Donna Stern, a 20-something stand-up comedian enjoying her freedom— that is, until her boyfriend breaks up with her, she loses her full-time job and gets knocked up. Directed and written by Gillian Robespierre, Obvious Child also stars Gaby Hoffman, Jake Lacy, David Cross, Gabe Liedman and Richard Kind.
We at Laughspin are super excited to see Obvious Child and we’re even more excited to give our readers – that’s you! – an opportunity to see Slate and co. in an advanced screening. For free!
